Q When was your company founded?: A
We were founded on August 3, 1985 as Japan Educational Institute Ltd. In December 1999, we changed our trade name to match the brand we use to name our prep schools: Tokyo Individualized Educational Institute, Inc. Later on, in May 2007, we became a member of the Benesse Group when we concluded a capital and operations partnership with Benesse Corporation (now Benesse Holdings Inc.).

Q When was your company listed?: A
We were listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange on August 9, 2002, then had our designation switched to the exchange's First Section on August 1, 2003.

Q What is your business and what are your products and/or services?: A
We manage schools such as prep schools that provide individualized teaching, as well as the full range of ancillary operations for these schools. Tokyo Individualized Educational Institute handles the Tokyo metropolitan area, Tokai (which includes Nagoya and the surrounding region) and Kyushu (one of Japan's four major islands in the western part of the country). Kansai Individualized Educational Institute, meanwhile, handles the Kansai area (Osaka and the surrounding region, which includes the major cities of Kobe and Kyoto). We manage our schools directly through these entities.

Q What is your schedule for reporting results?: A
We release results every quarter. Under our reporting schedule, we announce results for the full year in early April and for the first-half in early October, while results for Q1 come out in early July and Q3 in early January. For more information, see our IR Calendar page.

Q How can I access your company's results?: A
We disclose an Earnings Summary after releasing results. You can also access IR Releases from the IR information section's top page. This is where we announce the release of information.

Q How can I access past financial data?: A
You can view it at our Performance Highlights page. The IR Library page also has past materials.

Q Can I view details from earnings briefings on your website?: A

Q Who is your shareholder registry administrator?: A

Q What exchange is your stock listed on?: A
On the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Q When are your dividend record dates? And how much are the payouts?: A
The dates for shareholders listed on the final register are the last day of February and the last day of August. You can view previous payouts for each period on the Dividend Payout History page.

Q If I want to know about stock-related procedures, who should I contact?: A
If you want to change the address, name or registered seal, or you want to designate or change the bank account to receive dividend payouts, carry out that procedure with your securities brokerage. For shares managed in a special account, please carry out the procedure with Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation.
